Gruesome Playground Injuries

Written by Rajiv Joseph

When Doug and Kayleen meet in the nurse’s office of their elementary school, it launches an atypical love story spanning 30 years. Through injury, heartbreak, and their own self destructive tendencies, these childhood friends always find their way back to one another. With incredible compassion and humor, Rajiv Joseph crafts a compelling and unconventional love story of two people who are always injured- inside and out.

Doug

Doug is constantly doing stupid things that lead to countless near death experiences, like losing one of his eyes to a firework. He is convinced that Kayleen is the only thing that heals his wounds. He is raw, unfiltered, and unapologetic.
